Create a schedule

It also serves as a visual reminder of what you have committed yourself to and enables you the ability to plan accordingly. 

Prioritize tasks

However, it is imperative that you identify the most important, and time-sensitive tasks. It is easy to get distracted and feel the need to do everything at once. However, you are much better off to focus on the high priority items that require your immediate attention.

Implement time blocking 

Time blocking is a technique where you schedule blocks of time during your day to accomplish specific tasks. As business owners, we are often guilty of taking on too much, and attempt multi-tasking to hit those deadlines. When you time block, you allow yourself time to focus on a specific goal. Whether it be 15 minutes or one hour, block your time so that you can complete important tasks, and meet deadlines in a timely manner. 

Review your processes 

It is likely that what worked at one time, might not work going forward. Therefore, regularly review your internal processes and procedures as a business to ensure that time is being spent effectively. On a personal level, do the same. Evaluate what has worked well, and where improvements could be made. It is important to adjust your approaches accordingly so that you, and your team are optimizing their time and productivity.
